What is Ayurved?

Ayurveda is the sacred knowledge of life that has been refined and perfected over the years ever since it originated in the Vedic era to bring total solution by harmonising the mind, boby and solu.

The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit word. ‘Ayu’ meaning ‘Life’ and ‘Veda’ meaning ‘Knowledge’ Ayurveda literally means “science of life”. Ayurveda originated and developed in Vedic period. The oldest documented body of holistic medical knowledge in the world, it is a system of herbs, oil and plants originating in India over 6,000 years ago. The fundamental philosophy of Ayurveda rests on the concepts of harmony- in Ayurveda true health and wellness can only result from perfect harmony between the mind, body and spirit.

What is Prakriti or Ayurvedic Body type?

The term Prakruti is a sanskrit word that literally means, ‘Nature’, or Baisc Trait’. Different person can have different combination of Prakruti. According to Ayurveda everyone is unique and each of them has a distinct body constitution, which is totally different from each other. Following are types of Prakriti-

  3. Kapha
